Been listening to this a lot while MOC was down -- they toured with Joan of Arc apparently, and they've got that super midwest mathy nostalgic sound.

While visiting a friend who lives in a shared house, I noticed that there were two eggs amongst the drying dishes... WTF?

went to my first casino earlier; walked in with $40 and left with $15
Hey man, at least you left with something.
Enough to buy some booze to make me forget I wasted perfectly good money.
Nah...I did have a good time. I played all the Pop Culture themed slots.
Did they have the KISS slot machine?? And did you become a member of the KISS army? Because that happens when you win the jackpot, and its fucking sweet.
i like to just think of it as a grown up arcade, but instead of winning tickets, you get actual money.
and yes you waste money at an arcade too, pinball machines and street fighter never gave you tickets
Playing Asteroids or Centipede or Street Fighter gave you that searing adrenaline rush each time though. And there were always people watching you play.
Lord of the Rings
The Walking Dead (season 1-2)
Iron Man 2
70s Willy Wonka
Back To The Future (my personal favorite)
I only play the Dolly Parton slot machine.
I go to the Citizen Pottawatomie Nation clinic near the CPN Grand Casino in Shawnee, OK. In OK we have a lot of casinos. I usually take this for granted because I hate throwing my hard earned money away on an empty promise. But there is something alluring to these places, I have to admit.
Last week Olivia and I had a doctor appointment (we always go together) and after we thought it might be fun to play a few slots. We didn't win anything but the thrill of "Maybe I'll strike it big" was still hidden there somewhere in the back of my mind. I was really hoping, best case scenario, that I would win $30 or so and take her to the buffet for lunch as a treat to ourselves. We ate at the buffet anyway but I think it would have tasted even better if it had been free.
I played the Ghostbusters slot for a minute and that one was a lot of fun.
Lottery only became legalized in Oklahoma in the past few years. It's been interesting to see how it has affected the state. They said in the campaigning leading up to the vote on whether to bring lotto to the state or not that the money would go to schools. I can't say that's happened as much as everyone wanted to believe. I don't really know where the money is going.
I have only played a couple of times, but again there was that sort of fun, "What if" moment.
