the amero is a long term plan...and although the amero would be a unifying currency that doesn't mean that the regional currency...ie. CD, AD, and the peso will cease to exist it would be used between trading partners or travelers for the most part...

Reason #1. Who said the dollar, peso or canda's maple syrup would cease to exist? That's dumb. That would create an immessurable crisis.
Reason #2 You're arguing that it might take time to implement and distribute the amero.

I moved from Toronto Ontario to California about six months ago. I definitely took the healthcare system in Canada for granted. I can't believe I have to bring my VISA to the doctor's office here. For some douche bag doctor to write me the same prescription for drugs i've been taking since i was 12, it costs me over $100. WTF america.
