i am curious..

do you get along with other women? what kind of women annoy you? do you have mostly male friends? do you find yourself not being able to easily make female friends?

Though I do have some very close female friends, I tend to have a much easier time getting along with guys. I have a hard time relating to other women because I feel that I don't share the same interests and attitude. I just started a new job and of the people I have met there so far, only about 1/3 of the girls I have met are people I think I could be friends with potentially.

i like women and i have a lot of female friends. i have male friends too. it's pretty equal. i love everyone and i get along with everyone.

I am shy so I have a hard time talking to people at all. I would say my friends are evenly both guys and girls. I have a hard time being sociable because I am so eccentric and it kind of makes me sad. In general, I can't stand women because I really don't share anything with most girls. Actually, I am not like most people... no wonder I'm so lonely.

there is a reason i only have 2 girlfriends (pisha & kerry, two of the loveliest ladies to step foot on this planet).
my friendships with girls never seem to last long.
the rest of my friends are guys and there are a handful of girl semi-friends that i hang out with once in a blue moon.

plus it doesn't help that here in the burg, the large population of girls my age go to jmu are are from NoVa or virginia beach. rich bitches, daddy pays for everything, very materialistic party girls. and i'm just not like that at all.
the few good girl friends i have are from middle school and high school, when i lived in seattle. and unfortunately they still live there.
even when i try to make friends with girls who i think could potentially be good friendship material (my coworkers wives, for example - i work with all guys) i find that i have nothing in common with them. they are generally mildly dumb and still very materialistic.

i am confident in saying, though, that if i hung out with any of you lovely moc gals we would hit it off right away and be grand friends. with the exception of youknow. she's dumb.

This is what I find. Plus a lot of females are a little too interested in their looks and a lot of other things that I really don't care about.

In general, I find the problem is not very gender specific, but that I am not in line with 'mainstream' values. (consumerism, patriarchy....etc.) I like being independent, smart, and interesting. I hate TV / info-tainment. What else is there for most people to talk about?

Also, I am now too old to make 'new' friends, since most people my own age have all the friends they want / need, and to further complicate matters, their social needs are actually diminishing.

i appreciate a lot of fucking women, i just can't stand to hear most of them drone on about inane shit.
a lot of really great ones inimidate me sometimes:
i grew up with an older sister [7 years my senior]; girls can be mean as all get out.

i like when women are confident and opinionated and manage to not grate on my nerves.
i like when women make sense and have BIG wonderful ideas [yes, by ideas i also mean boobs]

anyway, the reason why i ask is:

i've noticed lately that i need more female friends. i have more on this coast than i do back home. i work with mostly girls and a couple of women and they all seem real nice and real sweet, which is surprising. a lot of them just talk about clothes and this and that.. most of them are going to school and their parents pay for the majority of their expendatures.
THAT INFURIATES ME. where is beyonce when i need her?

i want to meet women who are independent and PAY for their own things - who struggle and aren't so cushioned.
i want to meet women i can respect and not completely dismiss. :p
where you bitches at?

the few female friends i have to dont hang out with much anymore. other than visitations at my work i dont hang with many chicks, and i rarely see my old college friends. girls that annoy me most are the professionally naked ones, which is their only claim to fame or any reason people associate with them is that they are naked on the internet. i know everybody needs to get their porn on.. but for serious. i have a degree of love for some of them, but the majority are dumber than a bag of nails. my best and closest friends tend to be either guys, or lesbians. both tend to have better taste in music...in my experience.

i agree.
also, i accept that most women are batshit crazy so i try to look out for the crazy ones i can have fun with, not the "normal" ones.


i have an older sister whom i hate and love. shes how i base my relationships with women i think. stay cautious, laugh a lot and keep your "boys are stupid" convos semi-regular. in this way i can function. but honestly i have more guy friends. the guy friends i spend equal time with as the girl friends though because the girls i'm friends with i am pretty tight with. i still will generally prefer boys. but surprisingly i love a lot of the girls on MOC

i get along with pretty much everyone...that's not to say i'm going to be bff's with them. i get along best with girls with similar interests (well, duh...isn't that all people?) it is harder for me to get super close to girls because in a weird way, i'm afraid of girls judging me harsher, because being a girl, well, i know that's what we tend to do, admit to it or not. i just try to get along with everyone. i've always had more guy friends than girls growing up because i was instantly more comfortable around guys, being that i have two brothers no sisters .and spent a lot of time around my dad. (my mom was going through pharmacy school starting when i was in middle school)

so yeah..

Girls are too much to take in. My closest girl friend is my sister because I can't hold on to any other female friends and all of my other best friends are guys I've known for a while because they are less drama-oriented.

I really can hit it off with girls well with no problem, except after a short while I get so bored with them. I think lots of people in general are so boring. I couldn't say if I have more male or female friends; it's probably about equal. Women lie a lot, I've found. I can't stand that. And attention starved girls drive me mad. Other than that, I like most people, haha. At least for a while, until I get bored and/or things fall out.
