The Hold Steady Make Like Jury Duty in Tennessee
Tuesday, May 20th , 11:47 AM
![]() Brooklyn via Minnesota’s the Hold Steady will be releasing a new album, Stay Positive, in July. The first single from the album, “Sequestered in Memphis,” has found its way to the internet allowing for a preview of Positive. The Hold Steady continue to wear Springsteen on their sleeves (though late Springsteen) and have made sure to include the all important chant-along. Those claiming that today’s music doesn’t make use of words like “sequestered” and “subpoenaed” will be pleased with the new song.
